Hospital Journal 8/24/19

Hospital Journal for August 24, 2019 Yesterday was bad. I freaked out early,insisting on going home on my own.By late afternoon, I got gassed and backed down. My mind betrayed me. Today I am accepting that I must get stronger to go home.

Moms Last day...

Sixteen years ago today, my Mom died. On July 31, 2003 she passed away in an Ohio hospice. Cancer killed her. She called me in February with the news. I was working on the Oscar telecast in Century City. It hit me hard. I drove from LA to Toledo to help her and stayed there from Apri until July. We spent more time together then than since my boyhood. Memories of that time bring both smiles and tears. Today I remember Elizabeth Virginia Ayres Warn Lewandowski. I love you Mom.
