#WarnWorld2018

Summer 2018. Day after Memorial Day. One year ago, I was hospitalized because my right big toe turned black from gangrene. After fits and starts, the toe was amputated on July 28 following related vascular surgery. That procedure followed earlier toe amputations in 2013 and 2014. Diabetes is no joke. I am blessed with the help of my live in caregiver Myerl who takes good care of me. Life after amputation is different, both better and worse. I lose my balance a lot and try hard not to fall down.Mostly,it has worked. From time to time, I take a fall. Insulin shots control my blood sugar numbers. Myerl controls my diet. My drive thru days are done. Just like so many other Life activities I used to enjoy: sex, cheese, milk, cookies, pies, standing, walking, going places. Anyways, this is my life today. 100 Days of President Trump!

Watching VP Mike Pence intro our President at a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Trump is skipping tonight's White House Correspondents Dinner to attend this rally, creating his own real life diversion of media focus from the "media" event of the year in Washington, D.C. We will see how this plays out...

Happy Easter 2017!

Happy Easter y'all! Sweet day here in the SanFernandoValley, my home since 1982! My day will include watching my Detroit Tigers, NBA, Golf, Hockey, misc other games and contests. Now watching doc on Nixon using his Oval Office tapes in which he sounds remarkably like our current 45th President. Jarring to see so many now dead American political leaders in their prime. In other news, North Korea tested a missile which blew up on its launch. That crazy Korean is determined to blow up LA and our best hope to avoid that fate is the diplomatic prowess of Donald J. Trump God help us all!

Passover

My home is currently engaged in fiery debate on the subject of Passover. My friend Myerl is engaged in renewed Bible study in an effort to infuse her family with a new faith. I suggested her behavior strikes me as cultish, but admitted I am overly sensitive to cult behavior as a result of my life experience with Rev Jim Jones and his People's Temple in 1976 San Francisco and 1978 Guyana. She took it as disrespect for her faith. I must address.

The Masters

Today in America...
The Masters begins without Arnold Palmer.
The Tigers win, lose and are rained out twice in the seasons first week.
Trump lands 59 Tomohawk missiles at an airbase in Syria after chemical weapons kill kids.
New Supreme Court justice.

The Big Lebowski

I watched Lebowski today. Umpteenth time.
Seemed like a good idea after Trump tweeted that Meryl Streep was over-rated.
The Dude never disappoints.
Put my world today in proper perspective, he did.
Turns out, Trump was wrong!
A lifetime of wanting to believe our Presidential leadership has left me with shaky sea legs as our voyage with President Trump at the helm fast approaches. Sensing icebergs over the horizon, his doubters have developed a default of doubt for his tweets that cannot be a good thing for our future as a country.
The rug really pulled the Dude's room together.
Life lesson learned: when someone urinates on your rug, clean it up!
Trump is pissing all over us everyday. And why would he stop? Doing it has gotten him here, about to become 45th President of the United States of America?
